Svenskt Tenn

Svenskt Tenn is a Stockholm interior design store set up in 1924 by Estrid Ericson, an art teacher who produced pewter objects. In 1934 the Austrian architect Josef Frank was given safe haven by Ericson after be fled the Nazis. Together they started producing amazing furniture and textile designs that were functional and used bold colours and patterns. Becoming internationally renowned it was nicknamed ‘Swedish Modern’.

The store today still stocks products of their own design. It is a visual feast in a calming environment that relaxes the visitor while at the same time inspires them. Svenskt Tenn should be on everyone’s itinerary on a visit to Stockholm.
