Scottish Contemporary Art Network
Working with Maraid to create our new website has been an absolute joy. Even throughout lockdown Jane and Richard have always been available to respond to any questions and have always been at the end of the phone when we have required any help or tips whilst putting content on our new site. Commissioning a new website can be a daunting prospect but, with their copy, design and technical skills, Maraid helped us identify what we needed straight away and have guided us through the whole process. Jane and Richard are excellent designers, and lovely to work with, and we can't recommend them enough.
Science Museum
Maraid showed great enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the project. They came up with creative ideas, showed attention to detail and have the all-important ability to just get things done. It was a demanding project with multiple stakeholders and they managed to keep on budget and schedule despite being thrown a few last minute challenges. Overall the project was a resounding success: innovation endorsements from the Prime Minister to Stephen Fry; national press coverage, amazing Twitter uptake, 50,000 votes cast and over 90,000 unique visitors in the space of two weeks. Without Walls
Without Walls have worked with Maraid for over a year and I only have good things to say about them. With many agencies you feel like you are on a conveyor belt, where site architecture and design is forced on you. But not with Maraid. Jane and Richard have always taken the time to understand exactly what we want to achieve and have proposed a series of cost-effective solutions that have genuinely met our requirements. This has covered front-end page design and back-end functionality. Maraid are easy to work with and totally reliable. Most importantly for us, however, is their refreshingly honest and open approach to the client/agency relationship.

Opera North
We can't recommend Maraid highly enough. They understood the priorities for Arts Together from the very first meeting; that it was a community project to help people find performances and events in the Greater Leeds area that was accessible, affordable and suitable for their specific needs. So they knew that the site had to be easy to navigate, lovely to look at, and accessible, within our budget constraints. There are more functions we would like to add in the future and they were very happy to make sure the site was designed to allow these possibilities, plus they kept us informed of how it was being designed every step of the way. Since it was first launched, there have been updates to the API from the site that send us the events data and Maraid were really helpful in liaising directly with them to make sure that the updates were seamless. And we love the fact that they only choose to work on projects that they believe in - something that we feel resonates with the ethos of Arts Together.
Accessible Arts and Media
We've recently worked with Maraid on the design and build of a new website. From day one they ensured that they got to know us and our brand, products and audiences and they clearly understood the brief. They quickly came up with a look and feel that encapsulates our core values of accessibility, inclusion and fun. They spent time exploring different content management system (CMS) options with us, quickly understanding our in-house technical capabilities and knowledge as well as what we wanted the site and CMS to deliver. This resulted in a system we find intuitive and easy to use. We work with learning disabled people and people with visual impairments so accessibility of the site and its design was a key factor. Jane and Richard proved themselves to be knowledgeable in this area, both in terms of current best practice and new developments in web accessibility and, on the design side, researching and sourcing an accessible font that was designed in partnership with Mencap. They went the extra mile by road-testing the site with some of our learning-disabled participants, giving us confidence that, as well as providing key information to funders and other stakeholders, the site can be easily navigated by people with learning difficulties. We're all delighted with the end result - a vibrant, accessible website that looks and feels contemporary, provides a fantastic platform for our projects and resources and perfectly reflects our brand.
Go Higher West Yorkshire
Maraid Design have recently supported and implemented the redevelopment of Go Higher West Yorkshire's website. We have been particularly impressed by the high level of integrity and technical guidance of their team, as this will significantly enhance the overall functionality and aesthetic of our site. Maraid's background in accessibility has generated positive discussions allowing further implementations to make our site more appropriate for a range of audience needs. We have really valued their collaborative nature, follow up and technical skillset on this project.
Security Force Monitor
Great agency; professional, creative and value for money. Maraid worked with us to create create a simple brand and apply it to our organisational website, whilst improving its overall structure.
