Aesthetica Short Film Festival, York

What a fantastic weekend. I’ve never seen so many films in a short space of time, in so many interesting venues and it’s on my doorstep – heaven! The Aesthetica Short Film Festival was in it’s second year and already felt like an established, well organised event. I especially enjoyed the documentary strand and like all good film festivals there were a lot of screenings I didn’t get to. Some highlights were…

  • My Wrongs – Chris Morris, UK
  • Architecture Alive – Ole Stenum, Denmark
  • On Another Note – Emma Dove, UK
  • Gone Curling – Roland Kahurangi, New Zealand
  • Three Blind Mice – Chris Whitehead, UK
  • Dylan’s Room – Layke Anderson, UK
  • Long Distance Information – Douglas Hart, UK
  • Marichen – Katja Sambeth, Germany
