Mikhail Lermontov illustrated poems

I recently realised these 1960s matchbox labels were illustrated poems by Mikhail Lermontov while translating them for Matchbloc. Lermontov, born 1814, was a Russian romantic writer, poet and painter who died at the age of twenty seven in a duel. His best poetry was written during the last few years of his life including The Last House-warming, The Novice and Valerik. I thought it would be nice to share them on National Poetry Day.
