S’Express Mix – The Samples

I love ‘Theme from S’Express’, it’s magical and makes me happy every time I hear it. I started to get obsessed about how Mark Moore had created it and found a list of all the songs he sampled, there were 13 in total. Shortly after ‘Theme from S’Express’ was released the copyright rules around sampling were tightened which resulted in musicians not being able to afford to create sampled music like this anymore.

The songs they chose to sample are a great selection, listening to them is a lot of fun especially when you manage to catch the bit that was used.

I thought it might be nice to make and share a mix of the tracks so we can hear them in full and showcase the talent that went into making ‘Theme from S’Express’.
