SAIL support the creative and cultural industries of West Yorkshire, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability. Through their member’s network, capacity-building initiatives, and subject matter expertise, they foster connections, empower communities, and turn ambitions into action. From interactive workshops to personalised guidance on energy efficiency, they’re committed to making sustainability accessible for everyone.
Throughout the development of the SAIL website, we gave priority to sustainability. We custom-built the website using efficient, streamlined code instead of pre-made themes or code libraries. To conserve energy, we designed the website with a dark theme that minimizes the use of bright blue. All images were appropriately resized and compressed to ensure optimal performance. The use of video was limited to reduce energy consumption. The website is optimised to help search engines quickly locate the right audience. We carefully designed the information architecture and user experience to ensure a speedy and efficient user journey. As with all our sites, we recommend hosting that uses 100% green energy with data centers located in the UK.
