Centre of Ceramic Art, York

We were excited to see York Art Gallery open again this month after a huge refurbishment including the addition of the Centre of Ceramic Art (CoCA) celebrating British Studio Ceramics. The top space in the central gallery has been opened up and is flooded with light. It is currently dominated by Clare Twomey’s ‘Manifest: 10,000 Hours’ 10,000 bowls pile high up into the sky, surrounded by pieces from the permanent collection. It’s a brilliant addition to the city and beautifully done.
